Creating promotional graphics for a prom-themed rave hosted by Emo Nite, a Los Angeles-based event group

Emo Nite is a Los Angeles-based event organization that throws parties nationwide to the soundtrack of emo and pop-punk music. Their creative team hired me to design assets for a prom-themed party in New York City, including a poster for the event and a separate graphic to highlight their special guest*.

I wanted to capture the vibrant and nostalgic aesthetics of a classic prom scene while playing with Emo Nite’s raucous nature. The final product includes Graveboy Jr., a mascot of Emo Nite, storming the stage on prom night as the crowd goes wild (and giving the principal another reason to want to quit).

This project was made with guidance from creative project coordinator Zifei Zhang.
